Firearms and ammunition found in Dublin

A garda investigation is under way following the discovery of a quantity of firearms and ammunition at a Dublin apartment complex.

A garda investigation is under way following the discovery of a quantity of firearms, ammunition and what is believed to be explosive material at an apartment complex in Dublin.

The discovery was made during a search of the grounds of the complex at Distillery Road.

The area was sealed off for a number of hours and made safe by Army personnel.

A full examination of the scene has taken place and all of the items removed for forensic examination.
