Pilot Training College, which has bases in Waterford and Dublin, has won a €12m contract, the biggest in its history.
PTC is to train 120 pilots for Bahrain-based Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA). The announcement was made at the Bahrain International Air Show. The first class of 12 pilots start training next month.
Captain Mike Edgeworth, PTC's chairman and CEO, said the contract established the company as one of the main suppliers of pilot training in the Middle East region.
PTC has a fleet of 49 aircraft. It also has training centres in the UK and US.
