Four men injured in Belfast incident

Four men have been injured, two after being hit by a car, in east Belfast this morning.

Two men have been seriously injured after they were hit by a car in east Belfast early this morning.

Police say a number of people were struck by a vehicle, which was being driven recklessly in the Newtownards Road area shortly before 3am.

Two other men sustained injuries. One has a suspected broken leg and another was discovered with assault-type injuries.

Detectives are treating the incident as attempted murder.

The car that the PSNI believe was used was later found on fire in west Belfast.
