A 30-year-old woman has died in a road accident in Co Offaly.
A woman has died following a road accident in Co Offaly.
The woman was a passenger in a car which left the road and went into the canal at Clononey in Cloghan, Co Offaly.
The driver managed to escape and get the 8-month-old baby and woman out.
The woman was taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe but died of her injuries.
The man and baby were taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe where they were treated for minor injuries.
