Drugs, weapon found in Finglas searches

Two men have been arrested following the seizure of drugs and a shotgun in two separate garda operations in Finglas in Dublin.

Two men have been arrested following the seizure of drugs and a weapon in separate garda operations in Finglas in Dublin.

A sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of ammunition were recovered after a man in his 30s was stopped and searched at Clune Road yesterday evening.

In a separate operation, cannabis resin with an estimated value of €88,000 was seized during the search of a house in the Finglas area yesterday.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and is being held at Finglas Garda Station.
