A man has been seriously injured in an accident at the Mr Binman waste and refuse facility Co Limerick.

A man has been seriously injured in an accident at the Mr Binman waste and refuse facility in Grange, Co Limerick.

It is understood the man, who worked at the facility, was injured when his leg got caught in a machine at the plant.

He has been taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

The Health & Safety Authority has been informed about the incident.
