Shannon Airport has reopened following an incident earlier today involving an Aer Lingus regional aircraft.
The aircraft, operated by Aer Arann, was on its way from Manchester with 21 passsengers and four crew when it developed a problem with its nose wheel on landing.
The passengers and crew disembarked safely and it is understood that no one was injured.
However, The runway was closed earlier as an investigation was being carried out.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit attached to the Department of Transport will be conducting an investigation into what occurred.
A statement by Aer Arann said it could not speculate as to the cause of the incident at this time.
An Aer Lingus flight due to land in Shannon from London Heathrow was diverted to Cork.
Three US bound flights - an Aer Lingus service to JFK in New York, a Delta flight to Newark, and an Omni Air flight also due to travel to the US, were delayed.
