Kevin O'Sullivan is new Irish Times editor

Kevin O'Sullivan has been appointed editor of The Irish Times.

The Irish Times - New editor announced

The current news editor succeeds Geraldine Kennedy, who announced her retirement in March.

Mr O'Sullivan, aged 51, has been news editor since 2006.

He has served in a variety of roles including night editor, special projects editor and editor of the health supplement.
