Significant changes to NI driving testWednesday 15 June 2011 17.37
Learner drivers in Northern Ireland are facing a significant change in the driving test.
Stormont Minister Alex Attwood is introducing a new exercise where learner drivers doing the test will have to find their way to a destination without instruction from their examiner.
Learners will have to drive for ten minutes without input from the tester and negotiate how to get somewhere themselves.
Mr Attwood said it was the most important change in the driving test in 50 years.
