A man has died and another man has been arrested following a road crash in Omagh, Co Tyrone.

The man was killed when the car he was driving collided with another car at about 4am on the Dugarry Road.

The dead man has been named as Simon Glenn, 26, from the Strabane area.

The 18-year-old driver of the second car has been detained for questioning.

Two women, aged 48 and 23, and a three-year-old girl were taken to hospital, but their injuries are said to be not life threatening.

They were travelling in the car in which the driver was killed.

Elsewhere, a truck overturned at Junction 5 on the M50 in Dublin.

The driver has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
