A man has appeared in court in Belfast charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm after four people were stabbed during an incident in the west of the city on Tuesday.
The 57-year-old was brought before Belfast Magistrates Court.
On Tuesday night, a man in his 50s was taken to hospital after being seen at Waterford Street, off the Falls Road, with a number of stab wounds.
A man, a woman and a police officer were also stabbed.
