Facebook has confirmed that around 100 new jobs are on the way to Dublin next year.
The social networking site already employs 200 people at its headquarters in the capital.
The jobs will be across a range of functions in the company. Further details of the positions will be announced early next month.
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has welcomed Facebook's expansion in the city.
DCC Chief Executive Gina Quin: 'We are delighted with Facebook's decision to expand their base in Dublin and view it is a sign of their commitment to Ireland.
'It is also a clear indication that international businesses still view Ireland as a good place to do business.'
