A 22-year-old man has appeared at a special sitting at the District Court in Tullamore charged with the murder of Derek McDonagh in the town yesterday.
Richard Donovan with an address at the halting site, Kilcurttin, was arrested at Patrick's Street in Tullamore today.
He was charged with the murder of 28-year-old Derek McDonagh at Arden View in Tullamore.
Judge Gerard Haughton remanded Richard Donavon in custody to appear again at Clover Hill District Court on 24 September.
