Detectives in Tipperary are continuing to investigate the discovery of four pipe bombs, a handgun, ammunition and some stolen property.
Eight men, ranging in ages from early 20s to mid 30s, were arrested yesterday in Operation Infinity. Seven have since been released on bail but are due in court in Tipperary town next week.
Detectives have been focusing on individuals in Tipperary town and Thurles involved in drug distribution and organised crime.
15 searches of houses and flats took place yesterday.
In one of the searches in a laneway on the outskirts of Tipperary town, gardaí found four pipe bombs, ammunition and a handgun.
The pipe bombs were made safe by an Army unit before they were taken away for technical examination.
The devices may not have been for use locally but were possibly being stored for use in feuds involving gangs from Dublin or elsewhere.
