The directors of the Citywest Hotel in Saggart in west Dublin have been ordered to appear before the High Court to be questioned about their failure to pay more than €150,000 in costs due as a result of a court settlement.

Jim Mansfield Senior, Anthony Mansfield and Patrick Mansfield will have to appear before the Master of the High Court to set a date for their cross examination in relation to the costs order.

The former general manager of the hotel, John Glynn, had sued the Mansfield company HSS for wrongful dismissal following his dismissal on Christmas Eve 2009. The case was settled in May this year.

In documents submitted to the High Court today, lawyers for Mr Glynn said HSS had been late with each payment due under the settlement.

The court was told that HSS had also agreed to pay Mr Glynn's legal costs.

These had been determined by the Taxing Master in the sum of €166,636.63 and this sum was still outstanding.

Mr Glynn's lawyer, Robert Beatty, told the court they had written to the receiver of the hotel and to the company in relation to the outstanding amount but had come up against a brick wall.

Mr Justice Roderick Murphy ordered the directors to attend for cross examination in relation to the assets and debts of the company.
