Parts of Barna and Moycullen are continuing to experience disruption to water supply, Galway County Council has confirmed.

The disruption is due to a decreased supply of water to the area from the Tonabrucky Reservoir in Galway City.

Galway County Council says it is liaising with Galway City Council to resolve the situation.

The County Council says there was intermittent supply over the weekend but weather conditions have affected efforts to restore full supply to all affected areas.

It says higher areas will experience interruptions to supply until at least Wednesday.

The County Council is deploying water tankers to Tonabrucky, Killagoola and Barna.

It has advised that any water from tankers should be boiled before it is consumed.
