Murder inquiry launched in Armagh

watch

The PSNI has launched a murder inquiry after a man's body was found at an apartment in Armagh.

The body of 32-year-old Kevin Fletcher was found in the Castle Street area of Armagh at about midday yesterday.

A post-mortem will be carried out over the weekend.

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan said: 'In a relatively small city such as Armagh, such a death has a very profound effect.

'I would appeal for anyone with any information as to what happened to this gentleman, no matter how small or irrelevant they think it may be, to pass that information on to the investigating team.'
