Ardoyne riots cost £1.1m to police

The cost of policing the riots in the north Belfast area of Ardoyne during four days in July was £1.1m.

The Chief Constable of the PSNI, Matt Baggott, gave details of the bill to members of the Northern Ireland Policing Board in Belfast this afternoon.
