Fatal road crash in Co Laois

A 28-year-old man died in a road crash in Co Laois last night.

The man died when his car hit a tree on the N8 at Watercastle, Durrow at about 10pm.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The road was closed for a number of hours but it has now reopened.
