Two people have been killed in separate road crashes in counties Sligo and Carlow.
In Co Carlow, a 26-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with a 4x4 vehicle on the road between Borris and Bagenalstown at around 11am.
The man's body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital, where a post mortem will take place.
Earlier, a woman died in a two-car road crash in Co Sligo.
The woman, who was in her 60s, was the driver of one the cars which crashed on the N4 at Drumfin, Riverstown at around 9am.
A man who was travelling with her, and the woman driver of the second car, were taken to Sligo General Hospital.
The road is closed and diversions are in place.
