A 24-year-old man charged with the murder of Patrick Murphy at house in Waterford city has been sent forward for trial to the next sitting of the Central Criminal Court.
John Flaherty of Ard Daire, Ferrybank, has been charged with the murder of 27-year-old Patrick Murphy.
Mr Murphy, who was from Dublin, died after being attacked in a house in The Glen, Waterford, on 20 June.
Mr Flaherty has also been charged with assault causing harm to 22-year-old Amy Quigley, who had been living at the house in The Glen with her three children when the attack occurred.
He has been remanded in custody and sent forward for trial to the next sitting of the Central Criminal Court.
