Garda teams have been searching woods on farmland in Co Wicklow, where a human skull was found two days ago.
The skull, believed to be that of an adult male aged between 18 and 50, has been tested at the State Laboratory.
This evening, gardaí confirmed that further tests will be carried out on the skull as it has not formally been identified.
Meanwhile, search teams will return to Ballyfolan tomorrow morning, to continue the search for remains in the area.
