Man charged over Swords death

A man in his 20s has appeared at Dublin District Court charged with the manslaughter of another man in Swords.

22-year-old Daniel McCormack, with an address in Kenure Park, Rush, Co Dublin, was remanded in custody to appear again at Cloverhill District Court on 28 July.

Mr McCormack was arrested yesterday morning and charged this afternoon at Swords Garda Station.

No application for bail was made and he was granted legal aid.

James Joyce, who was 20, was pronounced dead following an incident near his home in the St Cronan's estate on Thursday night.
