Man dies after Howth pier incident

A man has died after an incident in Howth, Co Dublin, in which a car he was driving went off the pier.

It is understood that the man who was driving the car had booked it for a test drive when the incident took place.

He was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital.

A second male occupant was earlier discharged.

Gardaí are investigating the incident.
