Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said he will probably announce his new frontbench on Thursday.
He would not comment on who might be part of that group but repeated that he will try to draw on all talent in the party.
Meanwhile, Fine Gael deputy Phil Hogan has said he believes the people have responded to Mr Kenny’s handling of the recent challenge to his leadership.
Mr Hogan was speaking after the latest Red C opinion poll in today's Sunday Business Post, which shows a 3% gain for his party.
Speaking on RTÉ’s This Week, Mr Hogan said Mr Kenny deserved great credit for his courage, resilience and calmness in a crisis, and added that people have always underestimated Mr Kenny's capacity to lead the country.
He said the latest poll confirmed that Fine Gael was the largest party in the country and said the party will deliver more seats at the next general election.
