The State Examinations Commission has strengthened its procedures to reduce the risk of mistakes being made in the distribution of exam papers by supervisors.
The changes follow last year's debacle with English Paper Two when an exam supervisor handed that paper out to some students a day in advance of the exam.
The SEC says new safeguards include exam superintendents formally cross-checking each others validation procedures.
Exam paper packets have also been redesigned to display information more clearly.
The redesign also ensures that where a subject, such as English, has two written papers, both papers will be contained in packets of different colours.
This is to minimise confusion between packets containing Paper One and Paper Two exams.
The SEC says the training of supervisors has also been revised.
