One man remains in a critical condition following a stabbing in Drogheda last night.
He was transferred to the Mater Hospital in Dublin from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda earlier this morning.
A second man who was seriously injured in the incident, is now in a stable condition in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
Five other people who were injured in the incident have all been discharged from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Gardaí received a call about a disturbance outside a pub on Laurance's Street in the town shortly before 12.30am.
A 17-year-old who was believed to have been involved in the disturbance fled the scene and ran to West Street.
There he confronted a group of men - who did not have any involvement in the earlier incident outside the pub - and attacked them with a knife.
The youth was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Drogheda Garda Station.
