The National Asset Management Agency has begun sending financial institutions acquisition schedules outlining which loans it will buy and how much it is prepared to pay.
It is understood the first lenders involved are Bank of Ireland, EBS and Irish Nationwide.
The schedules specify the security on the loans, their market value and the discount that NAMA will apply to the assets.
It is understood the first of the schedules was issued on Tuesday and the process will continue tomorrow.
This is the penultimate stage before NAMA finally acquires the loans at the end of the month.
