Boots to open five new stores, create 150 jobs

Pharmacy group Boots is to create 150 jobs with the opening of five new stores in Ireland.

The five stores will open this summer.

The company also said that a further 150 jobs may be created in other new outlets in future.

Boots already employs 1,800 people in Ireland. It opened its first shop here in 1996 and currently operates 55 stores.

The new jobs will be in pharmacy and retail.
