Arrest following failed ATM robbery in Dublin

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after a failed attempt to rob an ATM in Dublin.

Three men, armed with a sledge hammer, broke into a shop on East Road at around 3.30am this morning.

They attempted to remove the cash machine, but failed.

Gardaí were called and arrested one man at the rear of the shop.

He is being held at Store Street Garda Station.
