Two men, who were arrested in Armagh on Thursday, have been charged with possession of explosives.
The pair, aged 21 and 23, are expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
The 21-year-old man was also charged with possession of items likely to be of use to terrorism.
The men were arrested during a PSNI investigation into dissident republican activity in the Armagh area.
Police arrested a further three people today as part of the same operation.
Two men aged 24 and a 24 year old woman were arrested following searches of a number of houses in the Armagh city area.
