The company employs 156 people at two facilities in East Belfast and in Omagh.

The job losses are a result of Britvic NI losing its distribution contract for C&C products in the North.

C&C recently bought Tennents and in the future will be using it to distribute its products.

In a statement Britvic NI said that 'termination of the contract will impact the scale of Britvic Northern Ireland's operations and is likely to result in job losses across our logistics function'.

It is believed staff were informed this morning and a consultation process with them is now underway.
