Man charged over Grumpy Jack's shooting

A 26-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of John Carroll in Dublin city in 2009.

Bernard Hempenstall, with an address at The Coombe in Dublin, was remanded in prison to appear at Cloverhill Court again tomorrow.

Mr Carroll, a father of three, was shot dead at Grumpy Jack's pub in The Coombe in Dublin on 18 February last year.
