Russia reopens door to Irish pork

The Russian market for Irish pork and pork products reopens today.

The market, worth €12m in 2007, was closed since the dioxin scare in December 2008.

The Russian Federation agreed late last month that from 1 February pork or pork products produced in Ireland could be imported once again to Russia.
