A proposed strike at the Mater Private Hospital in Dublin has been averted following talks at the Labour Relations Commission.
Both sides will engage in talks in the coming weeks about the hospital's plans to cut costs.
Before entering talks at the LRC today, SIPTU's Paul Bell said, ‘There is a lot of work to do, but I am hopeful of an early resolution.’
The unions say pay cuts were unilaterally imposed from 1 January and they want them reversed.
Talks at the Labour Relations Commission between unions and Mater Private Hospital Management broke down on Friday night.
