Northern Ireland's First and Deputy First Ministers met this afternoon for talks about devolving policing and justice powers to Stormont.
It was the first time that Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness had met since before the Christmas break.
Yesterday Mr Robinson vowed to continue in politics after revealing that he and his wife, Iris, were experiencing marital difficulties.
In an interview yesterday, the DUP leader said that he would be meeting with Martin McGuinness to discuss making 'real progress'.
That 'progress' relates to finding agreement on the timing of the devolution of policing and justice powers to Stormont.
Sinn Féin had set a deadline of before Christmas for agreement to be reached.
The party's Ard Comhairle will meet this weekend in Dublin and its participation in Northern Ireland's power-sharing administration is expected to be top of the agenda.
