Woman airlifted after Howth accident

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after the car she was driving fell 100m down a steep incline at Casana Rocks in Howth, Co Dublin.

A woman in her early 50s has been airlifted to hospital after the car she was driving fell 100m down a steep incline at Casana Rocks in Howth, Co Dublin.

Emergency services say the car fell down a steep incline from the Upper Cliff Road, near Howth Summit, shortly before midday.

The woman was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital.

The Dublin Coastguard, the Howth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team and Dublin Fire Brigade all took part in the rescue operation.
