People who have lost their lives at sea were remembered in Co Dublin today.

The crew of Dún Laoghaire RNLI Lifeboat held its annual memorial ceremony on the East Pier at midday.

The event is in honour of 15 volunteers who died during a rescue operation on Christmas Eve 1895 and for all lives lost at sea on Irish coasts.
