A man in his 50s has been killed in a crash in Balbriggan in Dublin.
The man's motorcycle collided with a car just before 8am this morning on Balrothery Road.
His body has been removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Gardaí at Balbriggan are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01-8020510.
Woman dies in Sligo collision
A woman in her 40s has died in Sligo General Hospital following a collision on the N4 just outside Castlebaldwin.
The two car collision happened shortly after 12pm today.
A woman and child who were in the other car remain in a stable condition in Sligo General Hospital.
The road between Ardloy and Castlebaldwin is closed and is to remain so for the rest of the day.
Diversions are in place; however motorists are advised to expect huge delays.
Serious accident in Cork
Gardaí in Carrigaline, Co Cork meanwhile, are investigating a serious road traffic collision at Carrs Hill Carrigaline between 6 and 6.30pm yesterday evening.
The collision involved three cars and one of the drivers is in a serious condition at Cork University Hospital
