Ten units of The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service tackled the fire which broke out at about 9pm.

It took 126 firefighters 11 hours to tackle the blaze.

Four people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

It is understood the blaze started at a furnace in the factory which contained molten glass of around 1,600 degrees centigrade.

The plant makes glass containers for the food and drinks industry.

In a statement, Quinn Glass has said that there is no risk to any of the 378 jobs at the plant and that full production at the factory would be restored in the next two weeks.
