Charges at Dublin Airport are set to rise next year after the Commission for Aviation Regulation published its final determination on charges from 2010 until 2014.
However, it is up to the Dublin Airport Authority to decide ultimately what the charges will be, up to the Commission's maximum limit.
Passengers are currently charged €7.39 at Dublin. The regulator says that if the new terminal two is not operationally ready the charge could rise to €8.93 next year.
Passengers could be charged €8.11 in 2011, €7.90 in 2012, €7.70 in 2013 and €7.50 in 2014.
However, if terminal two is open by November 2010, passengers could be charged €9.32 next year, €10.44 in 2011, €10.23 in 2012, €10.03 in 2013 and €9.83 in 2014.
The Commission sets the maximum revenue per passenger that the Dublin Airport Authority can collect.
It says this price-cap is set at a level that allows the DAA to operate on an efficient basis, including the cost of investing in airport infrastructure to meet the needs of current and future users.
However, the DAA can decide to charge less than the price-cap, as it has done in the past.
