Three men have been arrested and a firearm has been recovered following an attempted robbery at a post office in Finglas village in Dublin.
The men were apprehended after gardaí acted on reports that three men were acting suspiciously in the Ballygall Road area at around 8am.
Along with the firearm, gardaí also recovered gloves, masks and boiler suits. The area is being preserved for forensic technical examination.
The three men, who are all in their 20s, are being detained at Finglas Garda Station.
