Revenue has published its latest list of tax defaulters from whom it recouped a total of €17.66m in the three months to the end of September.

Three of the settlements topped €1m, with the biggest totalling €1.36m when interest and penalties were included.

That settlement was by property developer and sales agent Parkland Investments Ltd, with an address on Upper Mount Street in Dublin. It was for under-declaration of corporation tax.

Retired amusement arcade owner Frank Lehane of Blenheim Lodge, Halfway House, Co Waterford, made a settlement of just over €1.3m.

Retired postmaster Thomas Wiseman, of Glencairn, Ardmahon Estate, Well Road, Cork made a settlement of €1.3m.

Both of these were related to Revenue's investigations into bogus non-resident accounts, as well as under-declaration of other taxes.

Mr Wiseman's settlement was also linked to the Revenue's probe into offshore assets, while Mr Lehane's also related to the investigation into single premium insurance products.

Four of the 76 settlements published today - totalling €2.93m - related to bogus non-resident account holders.

Thirteen settlements totalling €2.64m were linked to Revenue investigations into offshore funds, while 15 totalling €3.75m related to single-premium insurance products.

The list also includes a priest, Fr Tadhg O'Donovan, of the Parochial House, Whitechurch, Co Cork.

His settlement of more than €433,000 was linked to under-declaration of income tax and capital gains tax.

Last year, Fr O'Donovan was fined more than €6,000 after he pleaded guilty to ten tax-related charges, including making incorrect income tax returns.

At the time, Cork District Court was told that he had an interest in at least 13 investment properties, but kept some income hidden.
