The Air Sea Rescue Helicopter from Waterford is en route to a call out on the South Wexford coast following reports that a person has fallen overboard from a Stena Ferry.
The call out came just before 10pm.
The Stena Europe is currently a few miles from Tuskar Rock.
The Rosslare Lifeboat is now also involved in the search.
