Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said that his Environment Minister, John Gormley, had asked the Dublin Docklands Development Authority for a report on its corporate governance.
He said new DDDA chairperson Niamh Brennan had some expertise in that area, and the review was advancing.
Mr Cowen was replying to Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny, who said the latest annual accounts of the Authority showed a loss of €27m.
The Taoiseach said the Minister has also asked all State bodies to certify that their procedures were in accordance with the code of practice for the governance of State bodies. It was published last May.
That Authority had been funded by Anglo Irish Bank and some DDDA directors were from that bank.
Mr Kenny said the DDDA had been involved in the purchase of the former Glass Bottle site for €460m, with the DDDA ending up owning 26% of that site.
He also asked if the Taoiseach believed that was an appropriate way to do business.
