Water supplies restored in Kildare county

Water supply has been restored to a number of towns and villages in Co Kildare following disruption due to a technical fault at one of the county's principal reservoirs.

In a statement, Kildare County Council said it will take several hours for water pressure to return to 'near-normal levels' and urged householders to conserve water today.

Areas on high ground and those near terminal points on the supply network are unlikely to have water until late afternoon or early evening.
