Baby boy suffered head injuries in delivery

An inquest in Dublin has heard that a baby boy suffered severe head injuries from a failed attempt at delivery using medical instruments.

Parker Meredith Doyle died a day later at the National Maternity Hospital in Holles Street.

The hospital accepted that there were shortcomings in the management of the delivery of the baby, and that these shortcomings led to his death on 18 April last year.
