Hostelworld.com sold to US firm
Friday, 13 November 2009 15:13A Dublin-based company behind Hostelworld.com has been bought by a US private investment firm.
Web Reservations International, founded 10 years ago, sold €350m of accommodation online last year.
It employs 93 people and also operates the www.hostels.com and www.boo.com websites.

It is being bought by US private equity firm Hellman and Friedman for an undisclosed sum.
