Two killed in separate road accidents

Two men have been killed in separate road accidents in counties Meath and Dublin.

A 28-year-old man died after being struck by a car in Dundrum early this morning.

The incident happened in the Clonard estate at around 2.45am.

The road has been closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.

In Co Meath, a man was killed following a collision involving a car and a van on a minor road at Grangegeeth, near Slane at around 9.45pm last night.

The 27-year-old man - who was the driver of the car - was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

In Dublin, a man remains in a serious, but stable condition in hospital following a collision between a garda car and another vehicle at the Red Cow interchange yesterday.
