The High Court is expected to give its decision next week on how much of the Commission of Investigation's report on abuse in the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin can be published.
The report into how clerical child sex abuse allegations were handled by Church and State authorities in Dublin between 1975 and 2004 was expected to be published last week after an earlier ruling by the court.
On 15 October, Mr Justice Paul Gilligan ruled that the report could be published with the exception of all references to one individual.
However, the matter came back before the High Court last week after new concerns were raised by Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern.
The court held another hearing in private today to take submissions on the issue.
Mr Justice Paul Gilligan is now expected to give his decision on the matter early next week.
